How staff opt in to text messages

I Love Ceviche Staff Alerts is a text message program for I Love Ceviche - Surf & Turf (Roys Food Repair LLC) employees only. It sends staff portal invite links and account and training notifications. It never sends marketing. Members of the public can't sign up, and we never text customers.

Who gets texts

1. The owner or general manager adds the employee. Only people we've hired are added, in person, during hiring. The manager reads the consent text below to the employee (it's printed on the form) and ticks the box only if the employee agrees. The box is unchecked by default. If it isn't ticked, we don't text that number.
2. The employee confirms on their invite form. When the employee opens their staff portal invite, they see their name, mobile number and email, and a consent checkbox that is unchecked by default. They tick it only if they want texts. We store their choice with the date and time.
3. They can change their mind any time. Reply STOP to any message, turn texts off on their staff portal profile, or tell the owner or their manager.

Consent is not a condition of employment. Employees who don't want texts get their links by email or in person instead.
